Koa Special

Flamed Koa is one of those exotic woods that acoustic players have always fancied. We have heard many requests that we add a model with Koa, so we opted to build a model specific to Koa. It is called the Koa Special and each detail was optimized for this unique model. The top is a Flame Koa blend. We selected a grand auditorium body to give you a little larger sound chamber while retaining the comfort of a cutaway. It features our Zero-End Pin bridge that enhances tone, feel and makes string changes easy. Also you get a side soundport that acts like a personal monitor. 

The Koa Special is equipped with an active Fishman electronics system. The under saddle bridge captures the full and natural sound of this great instrument. You can control the volume and adjust the tone with two onboard controls, located in the soundhole. Discrete, but very easy to use and all without any holes cut into the side of the instrument.
